Microcannular Tumescent Body Liposuction
Dr. Goodnight has been performing microcannular tumescent body liposuction at his North Haledon practice since 1999. This form of liposuction is extremely safe, as it does not necessitate the use of general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. It is also the most precise and effective form of liposuction, allowing for smooth, natural-looking results with minimal discomfort, bleeding, bruising, and scarring.
Tumescent body liposuction involves the injection of lidocaine (a local anesthetic) and epinephrine into targeted deposits of fat. This injection causes the area to become swollen, which allows Dr. Goodnight to access the fat through the smallest possible incisions. Through these incisions, Dr. Goodnight uses an extremely small instrument called a microcannula to break apart and suction out the excess fat (which can be used as part of a subsequent fat transfer procedure, if desired). Because the procedure is minimally invasive, patients experience little to no pain or downtime afterwards, with few tell-tale signs that they underwent a surgical treatment.
Smartlipo® Laser Body Sculpting
In 2007, Dr. Goodnight added Smartlipo® Laser Body Sculpting to the menu of advanced services offered at his practice. The Smartlipo® laser effectively tightens the skin and restores the body’s contours, in addition to improving the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. It can also be used to melt fibrous areas, such as those associated with abnormally enlarged breasts in men (gynecomastia), to allow more thorough removal of the offending tissue.
The Dr. Goodnight Center for Everlasting Beauty features the latest Triplex Laser with Smartsense and ThermaGuide. Treatment with this advanced laser is highly effective, efficient, and safe. Patients generally experience only mild bruising, which usually resolves itself within a few weeks of treatment.
